Betsy started out her real estate career and became a licensed agent while working for Frank DeLoach both as a receptionist and property manager straight out of college. Since then she worked for 7 years as the administrative assistant, bookkeeper and licensed agent for the developer of the Coast Cottages on St. Simons Island. With additional experience in an association management focused office, a real estate assistant to Randall Moody and a paralegal for a real estate lawyer, Betsy has worked in many aspects of the real estate field and has a broad understanding of Golden Isles real estate and all of the relationships involved. Betsy is originally from Oakwood, a suburb near Dayton, Ohio. She has a bachelor’s degree from The University of Tennessee, has two teenage daughters and enjoys the beach, walks with her dog, photography, art, reading and of course SEC football. Go Vols! Betsy is currently the executive assistant to broker and owner Frank DeLoach and shares office manager duties with her beloved colleague Sharon.
Administrative Assistant, Referral Coordinator
Sharon has spent the majority of her professional career in the real estate arena. As a licensed Real Estate Broker she represented The Lake Toxaway Company in Lake Toxaway North Carolina, Keowee Key in South Carolina and then was associated with Harry Norman Buckhead in Atlanta. Sharon was offered the opportunity to utilized her knowledge and contacts to become one of the first female Residential Mortgage Bankers. Twenty five years later she moved to St. Simons Island and immediately became actively involved in the community as a board member of The Symphony Society of Coastal Georgia and chairing their signature Fundraising Gala. “Retirement” is not in Sharon’s blood and in 2013 she returned to the workforce as the Receptionist for DeLoach Sotheby’s International Realty. Sharon’s responsibilities have expanded and she has added Referral Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to her resume. Both she and Betsy, the Office Manager are University of Tennessee alums so you will likely see some Orange around the office – especially in the fall.
