Oftentimes, it’s the sound of Gullah or orchestra music that fills the island air this time of year. However this November 2015, St. Simons real estate owners will undoubtedly hear the melodious sounds of country music too.
Why? One of country music’s finest women will be taking the airport’s stage in the name of charity. The woman is none other than Martina McBride.
The 49-year-old, native Kansan has been entertaining the masses with her beautiful voice for decades. Born into a music-loving family, she started her career early and saw success come into view during the 1990s.
Longtime fans may recall that her first album hit the stores in 1992. Titled, The Time Has Come, it was the start of an ongoing, stream of profitable record releases that continues to this day.
McBride is expected to perform many popular hits throughout the charitable event, including songs from her most recent album, Everlasting. The album is jam-packed with memorable songs previously performed by legends like Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke and Van Morriso
n. Don Was served as the album’s producer and it was released in the spring of last year. Perhaps fans noticed it on sale in St. Simons’ stores?
Nonetheless, the consummate professional will be here on the island singing her heart out the evening of November 21st. Golf fans may notice that the much-heralded event it’s taking place during the famed McGladrey Classic.
Although the golf tournament is taking place on Sea Island, businesses on St. Simons are gearing up to have ancillary events of their own. So, visitors hoping to take advantage of them all are welcome to hop between both Sea and St. Simons real estate.
