Tate and his wife Terri have been property owners in Saint Simons since 2006. In 2013, they moved to the island full time. They fell in love with the Golden Isles the first time they visited. The Golden Isles is a beautiful place that offers something for everyone, from nature lovers to fishermen, history buffs and avid golfers.
Tate is a veteran of the US Navy where he served 4 years as a Hospital Corpsman supporting the US Marines. Upon discharge he began his college studies and received a dual major with a BS in Psychology from Wake Forest University and a Physicians’ Assistant Certificate from Bowman Gray School of Medicine, and completed his MBA in 1998 from Virginia Commonwealth University.
He practiced as a Physicians’ Assistant before joining the pharmaceutical industry. He enjoyed a 30 year career and was recognized as an accomplished senior sales leader with extensive experience in the healthcare industry including sales leadership, managed care, operations, area marketing and change management.
During his pharmaceutical career, Tate and Terri corporately relocated many times. They bought and sold 11 homes in a 30-year period. They had the pleasure of working with some excellent real estate professionals. Tate has shaped his approach to real estate on these experiences. He knew he could put his business skills, consultative approach, and extensive negotiating skills and customer centric approach to a new purpose. He guides his clients through the process of buying and selling with ease.
When not working, he and Terri enjoy playing tennis and golf and walking their two standard poodles. Tate and Terri have two children and two grandchildren. They are active members of Saint Simons Presbyterian Church.
Tate is a member of the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS®. Tate is a certified Resort and Second Home Property Sales Specialist.
