Amanda has been a resident of St. Simons Island since 2005; however, she began vacationing in Sea Island and the surrounding Golden Isles since the early 1980s. She graduated from College of Charleston in South Carolina with Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration in 2005, and immediately began her career in the mortgage industry with Capital City Mortgage in St. Simons Island. Amanda eventually became a lending officer with Washington Mutual. This work experience has contributed to Amanda’s success as an agent, as this aspect of the home buying process can be stressful to buyers. Amanda focuses on developing relationships with her clients, which she believes is essential so she can fully understand their needs. Her goal is to exceed the expectations of all clients in every transaction. She prides herself on her superior knowledge of the local market, being readily available for clients, and protecting the best interest of her clients throughout seamless real estate transactions. Amanda’s most unique experiences in real estate occurred while filming two television episodes for HGTV! Amanda has firm knowledge of the building process on St. Simons Island, as she has worked with her partner Scott Cochran, who has been a builder on St. Simons Island for over 20 years. Amanda is the proud mother of two daughters, Payton and Kendall. She also has a black lab named Heston, and a dog rescued from the Humane Society named Peri! Amanda actively volunteers at her daughter’s school, Frederica Academy, where she has assisted with fundraising for several years and is involved with the ‘Good News Club’. She is also involved with Wine Women & Shoes, St. Simons Island Moms Club, the Ladies Island Bible Study and various committees for the Golden Isles Association of Realtors. Amanda loves being with family and friends, cooking, playing tennis, scuba diving, exercising and meeting new people!
